DNA Collection

Research suggests that genetics can be important in shaping our behaviour, wellbeing and mental health. By collecting DNA samples and combining them with questionnaire data, we can learn more about how genetic and environmental factors interact with one another to predict wellbeing and mental health.

Because this is a trial phase of the study, at the moment only first-year psychology and law students are able to participate in DNA collection.

1. Come along to the next session, time and dates above.

2. Collect your pack from the research team. Read the information sheet and sign the consent form if you're happy to take part.

3. Provide your sample by spitting in the tube up to the second line. This takes about 5 minutes. Once you're done, screw on the lid and hand it back to us.

4. Collect some snacks as a thank-you for taking part!
